Our approach to due diligence assignments is driven by comprehensive risk discovery and rigorous financial analyses based on prudent application of production economics and transaction evidence.

At Cortex we recognize that the motivation for due diligence assignments varies substantially among clients and circumstances. We begin these projects by working with clients to develop a clear understanding of the purpose of the assignment and produce a concise statement of scope and a preliminary identification of risk. Then we develop a workplan identifying discrete phases with clearly defined deliverables and reporting requirements. This phased approach ensures continuous feedback to the client and forms the basis for redirecting or terminating the project if unacceptable risks are identified.

Cortex staff have provided due diligence services to a wide range of clients in Canada (British Columbia, New Brunswick), the United States (Washington, Connecticut, Missouri), Indonesia, Costa Rica, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Venezuela. Most of these assignments included financial asset modeling.
