Project Description

The Forest Sector Climate Action Steering Committee (FSCASC) was formed in 2008 to guide government and industry decision-makers in the forest sector on appropriate policy and activities related to climate change.

The FSCASC included senior executives in the BC Climate Action Secretariat and Ministry of Forests and Range, the Council of Forest Industries, Coast Forest Products Association, Forest Products Association of Canada, Binational Softwood Lumber Council, Pulp and Paper BC, and the Interior Lumber Manufacturers Association.

Cortex supported the FSCASC and its subcommittees over seven months to develop an inclusive strategic framework that would focus and build alignment among government and industry climate-related actions in the forest sector.
