Cortex provided spatially-explicit predictions of deadwood, an important habitat component, for the Quesnel Wildlife Habitat Supply Modeling Project, using a deadwood supply model developed by Cortex Consultants, the BC Ministry of Forests and Range, and Gowlland Technologies. This project involved working closely with habitat modelers to update and refine model parameters, validate model outputs against available plot data, and produce spatial maps of deadwood abundance for input to species-specific habitat models.
