Cortex provided analytical support for field verification of the Coastal Northern Goshawk Model. Potential plot locations were specified using a stratified random sampling protocol. Following review by the field biologists, a subset of potential plot locations were selected and Cortex produced 1:50k and 1:100k maps, using satellite imagery and GIS data, to assist with field location of the plots and navigation through the sampling area. Ongoing support was provided through the field season to assist with issues as they arose. Results of field sampling were used for verification and improvement of the Coastal Northern Goshawk Model.
