This project placed old-growth management areas (OGMA) in locations that scored high for ecological importance and low for timber emphasis. The analysis used a Remsoft Spatial Planning Systems (RSPS) optimization model and scenario analysis to determine land base area that could move from OGMA status to operable land base and vice-versa.
