Cortex partnered with Dr. Paul Wood of the University of British Columbia to analyze federal and provincial policies on Species at Risk (funded by a Forest Innovation Investment grant). This project involved primary source research of legislation and policy, and of species protection practices in two forest districts. Among the report’s 12 recommendations was that an amended Wildlife Act be introduced to provide a provincial equivalent to the federal Species at Risk Act.
